Control Authority

Very rudimentary rock-paper-scissors type power scaling to cut what would otherwise be tie-breakers.

Implications

An ability’s CA will not change over the course of a story.
There is no actual quantifiable element behind CA, and the only thing that can take precedence is the character’s mentality.
- A more resolved character can be assumed to be at full potential, meanwhile a distracted or unconfident character is likely weaker.

Character CA will be represented by the amount of star symbols (1 to 5) attached to the power. (Sometimes can be found as motifs on the user or seen during imaginary-art casting.)

There used to be a chart here for every ability but as I added more abilities I realized that charting them out was ineffective for communicating this idea. In order to accomplish a similar goal to that chart, here is a chart of what your takeaway roughly should be seeing a character’s CA.

CA Ranking	Meaning (Literal)	Meaning (To the viewer)
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐	This ability manipulates reality unrestrictedly.	This person has an extreme advantage.
⭐⭐⭐⭐	This ability controls a concept that is fairly understood. This is also the most common ranking.	This person is comparable to the main cast.
⭐⭐⭐	This ability controls an more somewhat abstract concept but can be have extreme effects with minimal effort.	This person will need to be creative with their ability to keep up.
⭐⭐	This ability controls an abstract concept with great impact with extremely minimal effort.	This person, although at a disadvantage, is going to be full of surprises.
⭐	This ability controls an extremely abstract concept without any effort at all.	This person is basically just as threatening as a 5-star ability user, especially to the average person.
